The Solari Udine Cifra 5 is an iconic electromechanical palette clock designed by the Italian architect and designer Gino Valle together with John Myer and Nani Valle for the company Solari R. & C. of Udine. Created in the mid-1950s (with the beginning of development in 1954), this historic watch has revolutionized the way time is displayed in public spaces and was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award in 1956.
