The Hitachi MQ-25 if a portable record player with a couple of special features. It has hooks, so that it can be mounted on the wall. It also has a knob to control the pitch. Perhaps this was to account for slight changes in speed when mounted the wall.

This model was also produced by Columbia as the GP-3. Columbia and Hitachi both produced other models including the Hitachi MQ-20 (Columbia SE-8), Hitachi MQ-22 (Columbia SE-7) and Hitachi MQ-70 (Columbia GP-1).

A Japanese service manual shows the date as June 1980.
